I'm happy to introduce sweet Lola and her beautiful family. I photographed Lola's newborn portraits when she was three weeks old. Because she was a little older and more alert than most of the newborns I photograph, we had to work a little harder for the sleepy poses. Plus, she was the most ticklish baby I've ever met. She definitely wiggled each time we put a hat or headband on her sensitive little head. In the end though, I was happy to work with Lola for these beautiful images.
Lola is a lucky girl--I think she's inherited her mom's big, gorgeous eyes. Add her gorgeous dark hair, round cheeks, and glowing skin--what a dream to photograph!
Since older newborn babies don't typically like to be bent and folded into as many poses as babies under two weeks old, I made sure to add variety to her poses with mom and dad. I love skin to skin newborn portraits and was happy dad up for them. I think these images of Lola and her dad are some of my favorite daddy and baby images ever.
Happy New Year to all my readers! I hope your 2013 is full of love and joy.
